Technical presentation by David Kinney on the hierarchy of sound and soundboard design.
David is the Piano Technical Manager for the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and is highly regarded as one of Australia's leading technicians having worked with institutions, manufacturers and piano competitions locally and internationally.
David's presentation will cover all things soundboards - how they’re made and why it matters. How the soundboard is central to almost every decision we make as technicians for ourselves, and for our clients. We will explore how the standard model of making a soundboard works and how it can be made better.
