1. Registered
Open to a person who has passed the APTTA Accreditation. Eligible to vote at meetings and stand for election to the Committee. Full Fee. Permitted to advertise using the words Australasian Registered Piano Technician & Member of the Piano Tuner & Technicians Guild of Victoria or letters ARPT & PTTGV
2. Member
Open to current members, as of August 2004, who have not passed the APTTA accreditation. Eligible to vote at meetings and stand for election to the Committee. Full Fee. Permitted to advertise using the words Member of the PTTGV & APTTA.
3. Provisional
Must be earning income from Piano Tuning or repairs or a student in structured training. Must have the approval of the Membership. Eligible to vote for one Provisional Member to the Committee. Able to attend and vote as a Committee Member but unable to hold office. Full Fee Student: Reduce fee to be determined by the Committee. Not permitted to advertise their association with the APTTA or PTTGV in this category.
4. Affiliate
A person in the Music Industry who supports the aims of the PTTGV, Membership either by approval by the Membership or by invitation. Not eligible to vote or stand for election to the Committee. Full Fee. Permitted to advertise using the words: Affiliated with the PTTGV & APTTA.
5a. Life/Honorary
The Committee may recommend to an Annual General Meeting that Life/Honary Membership be granted to:

Any Member, as described in clauses 7.1/7.2, whose service to the Guild has achieved the right to special recognition by the Committee through their contribution to the field of piano tuning and repair. Eligible to vote and stand for election to the Committee. No Fee. Permitted to advertise according to their status as a Registered Member or Member.
5c. Honorary
Any person who has achieved distinction in music, in the sciences or other fields, and whose honorary membership may in the opinion of the Committee be of value to the Guild and its objectives. Not eligible to vote or stand for election to the Committee. No Fee. Not permitted to advertise their association with the APTTA or PTTGV in this category.
5d. Number of Life/Honorary Members
Shall not at any time exceed 20% of the number of members, as described in clauses 7.1/7.2
6. Retired Members
May be granted to any Member, as described in clauses 7.1/7.2, on retiring from the profession by reason of ill health, or for other reasons acceptable to the committee. Note eligible to vote or stand for election to the Committee. Half Fee. Not permitted to advertise their association with the APTTA or PTTGV in this category.
